Sen. Springer comes to Olney Museum

Jason Pack of Stewart’s Grocery Store came through and saved the annual Olney Car Show which was in the past kept alive and hosted by the Olney Chamber of Commerce [OCC]. The OCC dropped the car show this year from their annual list of events. Olney is lucky to have Stewart’s Grocery Store which has always been at the heart of the community and very passionate about helping other organizations.
The Young County Olney Senior Cub Center was the place to cut a rug or rock around the clock to the sound of the 1950s. Cub Center Director Angela Lockard and Activities Director Candy Blair teamed up with help from volunteers to host a 1950s-style sock hop.
More than forty years ago, Neil’s mom bought him a new suit with matching vest. It was a great suit made of that long lasting double knit fabric of the day. It looked so good on him, and he loved it. Through the years I bought other suits for him. He never liked any of them, and always went back to wearing that favorite navy blue, 3 piece double knit suit.
The Young County Olney Senior Cub Center has become a very popular hot spot in Olney over the last couple years as Cub Center Director Angela Lockard and Activity Director Candy Blair have transformed the Cub Center from a Senior Center into a Community Center.
