The Freezin’ for a Reason golf tournament, a yearly rite of spring in Olney, drew 22 teams this year and raised $11,700 after being postponed one week because of the weather, organizer Kalynn Philipp said.
Later this year, the streets of Olney will bear witness to the legacy of one of its own as Oscar Herman Bernhardt is honored among the town’s heroes.
I like this guy. Why? He and I served almost at the same time. He was just a year behind me.
