Senior Cub Center Warms Olney With Blanket Drive

In anticipation of colder weather, the Cub Center is having a blanket drive to give to Meals on Wheels clients and beyond. We have partnered with several local churches and businesses as collection sites. We have already collected enough blankets for all of our Meals on Wheels clients. Any extra blankets will be divided and dispersed amongst local food pantries and the Service Center.

I’m really pleased with the community’s response to the Blanket Drive. We decided to do this in the first week of December. Cub Center volunteers and staff mobilized very quickly and coordinated the drive with such ease. I couldn’t have asked for a better team! Thank you to the community for donating and the volunteers for playing such a large role in this effort. I look forward to working with the team on future endeavors.
