Newcastle Fire Department Holds Fish Fry Fundraiser

The Newcastle Volunteer Fire Department hosted its biggest fund raiser of the year, their annual fish fry and auction.

Attendees enjoyed fried catfish, hush puppies, cole slaw, sweet tea and numerous other treats for only a $10 suggested donation.

Attendees had the opportunity to bid during a live auction that included everything but the kitchen sink so there was something for everyone to bid on. Entertainment was a big draw with performers “The Piano Man” Greg Buenger and “The Lonesome Fugitive” Micheal Gilliam.

Attendees left with full bellies, great memories and maybe a new friend or two.
