May Update from Olney Hamilton Hospital “Building a Healthier Future”

The month of May has truly been eventful and full of excitement here at Olney Hamilton Hospital. We’ve witnessed incredible moments of growth, celebration, and progress that we’re proud to share with you.

We kicked off the month by welcoming a new addition to our medical team—Dr. John Horner. With over 13 years of experience in Rural Medicine and a strong emphasis on Family Health, Dr. Horner brings a wealth of knowledge and compassion to our community. We’re thrilled to have him on board and confident he will make a tremendous impact.

May also gave us the opportunity to honor our nurses. Nurses Day, observed on May 6, was a special moment to recognize the dedicated men and women who tirelessly care for our patients every single day. We celebrated not only our current nursing staff but also paid tribute to the generations of nurses who have paved the way in this noble profession. Your dedication, compassion, and resilience do not go unnoticed. Thank you for all that you do.

In addition, we celebrated National Hospital Week, a time set aside to appreciate every member of our incredible team. From physicians and nurses to support staff and administrators, each role is vital to our mission. This week served as a reminder of the collective effort it takes to provide high-quality care, and we are so grateful for each one of you who chooses to be part of the Olney Hamilton family. Your hard work and passion are the heart of this hospital.

We also recognized EMS Week, honoring the selfless work of our Emergency Medical Services professionals. Whether it’s responding to calls in our town or beyond, your skills, dedication, and courage are lifesaving. You are the frontline heroes of our community, and we are endlessly grateful.

As May comes to a close, we’re excited to share that Phase One of our new construction project has officially begun. Demolition is underway, marking a significant milestone in our vision to “Build a Healthier Future” for Olney and the surrounding region. We can’t wait to keep you updated as this journey unfolds.
