Volleyball Scrimmage
The Olney Lady Cubs Volleyball teams began twoa- day practices in preparation for the new season that begins in just weeks. Jaylee Bowers (shown here) will be a big factor in the success of the Lady Cubs’ drive to the playoffs. Bowers is a seasoned player with an aggressive kill shot and a serve that is hard to beat.
The Lady Cubs will have a host of seasoned vets returning this season along with a veteran volleyball coach who was added this year. Coach Otis Chunn brings over 20 years’ experience to the Volleyball program.
One of the skills being practiced at the Lady Cubs two-a-day Volleyball sessions is how to keep a server from obtaining an ace during a serve. An ace is a serve that could not be returned scoring a point.
The Ladycubs dusted off the Volleyball cobwebs and got to work during the first of many two-a-days that will help build skills necessary for the Lady Cubs to have a successful season.
