Varsity Lady Cubs Play City View

The Lady Cubs Varsity team played the City View Mustangs Tuesday, Dec. 4, in the high school gym.

During the first quarter Jaden Jacoba scored 2 points, Anahi Marquez 2 points, Irune Aguirreazaldegui 2 points, Jae Montgomery got 4 free throws, a 3-point shot and a 2-point shot totaling 9 points, Claire Garcia made 1 free throw and a basket for 3 points and Lara Fisch got 2 points. The Lady Cubs finished the first quarter in the lead 20-12.

In the second quarter, Jacoba made a 3-pointer, Marquez scored 2, Aguirreazaldegui made a free throw, Montgomery scored a 3-pointer and a basket for 5 points in the second, Garcia made a free throw and Fisch made 2 points. The Lady Cubs scored 14 points to the 5 points the Mustangs scored.

Aguirreazaldegui made 2 points, Garcia got 2 and Fisch got 2 points in the third quarter for 6 points against the 4 points the Mustangs scored. The score at the end of the third quarter was 40-21 with the Lady Cubs in the lead.

The fourth quarter had the Lady Cubs scoring 15 total points. Of those points, Abbey Harrison made a free throw, Jacoba made a free throw, Marquez got two free throws, Maddy Green got a free throw, Montgomery made two baskets, and two free throws for 6 points and Garcia made 4 points. The Mustangs made 17 points in the fourth bringing the final score to 55-38, giving the Lady Cubs another victory.

The Lady Cubs total scores by the player were: Montgomery 20, Garcia 10, Jacoba 6, Marquez 6, Fisch 6, Aguirreazaldegui 5, Harrison 1 and Green 1.
