Two Cubs qualify for regional track meet

Two Cubs athletes were successful at the Area Track Meet in Graham on April 13, advancing to the regional round.

In the boys 110 hurdles, Camron McComack placed fourth. In high jump, Luis Castillo placed fourth. Both will now compete at the regional track meet in Springtown on April 28-29. Athletes that placed in the top four in their contests qualify for regional.

In other Area results, Angel Alvarado placed seventh in the 100m dash with a time of 11.69. Alvarado joined Gatlin Guy, David Munoz, and Jose Castillo on the Cubs relay team in the 4x100 which clocked a time of 46.18 to finish sixth. Jose Melchor placed seventh in the 400m race with a time of 59.17.

In pole vault, McComack placed fifth and had a personal record of 12-0. Ace Cribbs placed sixth with an 11-0, and Caden Lane placed seventh and had a personal best with a 9-06.
