Olney High School Cubs dim the Stars

Tuesday Dec. 3, the Olney Cubs turned the lights out on the Wichita Christian School Stars with a dominate performance with the help of Carter Hinson’s #2 explosive shooting from outside the line and Tanner Hudson’s #4 aggressive play on the rebounds.

The entire team played aggressive with heart, determination and focus. Head Coach Carl Pennington had this to say of his Cubs, “It was good to see Tanner and Morgan get aggressive on rebounding. I like the way the younger kids are adjusting to varsity action. It is a slow process and they just need to trust the process especially when you have seven new players to the varsity.”

Final score had the Cubs victorious with Cubs 50 Stars 36. The Stars put up a good fight but were no match for the famous fighting spirit of the Cubs defense. Help came from the following scorers: Carter Hinson 24, Tanner Hudson 11, Gabe Garza 7, Adrain Tellez 4, James Coleman 2 and Carter Turner 2 including many defensive plays by the Cubs. Fight on Cubs!!!
