Olney High School celebrates Varsity Volleyball Senior Night

Varsity Lady Cub Volleyball Player Senior Taaron Scrogum [C] was escorted by father Aaron [L] and mother Ashlyn [R] during the Senior Night festivities after the volleyball game with Windthorst. Taaron is finishing sports strong with four years in volleyball, basketball, and softball and has received a Cub Pride Award. Taaron is in her fourth year in the FFA, National Honor Society for three years, was Academic All-District, FFA Officer for one year, and is on the ‘A’ Honor Roll. Taaron plans to attend college to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology to become a coach.

Varsity Lady Cub Volleyball Player Senior Aubrey Mahler [C] was escorted by father Craig [L] and mother Angie [R] during the Senior Night festivities after the volleyball game with Windthorst. Accolades include one year of basketball, four years of volleyball, four years of softball, and four years of FFA. Aubrey made the ‘A’ Honor Roll, FFA Officer for one year, and Academic All-District, and was inducted into the National Honor Society. Aubrey plans to attend Texas Tech to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in diagnostic medical sonography.

Varsity Lady Cub Volleyball Player Senior Abby Guerra [C] was escorted by father Daniel [L] and mother Helen [R] during the Senior Night festivities after the volleyball game with Windthorst. Accolades include four years of basketball, four years of volleyball, four years of softball, and four years of track. Abby made the ‘A’ Honor Roll, Academic All-District, was inducted into the National Honor Society, and competed in UIL. Abby plans to attend the University of Texas to major in business.

Varsity Lady Cub Volleyball Player Senior Aney Alvares [C] was escorted by father Leonardo [L] and mother LuzMaria [R] during the Senior Night festivities after the volleyball game with Windthorst. Accolades include one year of basketball, four years of volleyball, four years of softball, and four years of track. Aney made the A/B Honor Roll and competed in UIL for three years. Aney plans to attend Texas Tech to study for a degree in social work.

Varsity Lady Cub Volleyball Player Senior Peyton Elliot [C] was escorted by brother Porter [L] (Her father Jay was away working on the hurricane relief effort) and mother Brandie [R] during the Senior Night festivities after the volleyball game with Windthorst. Accolades include one year of basketball, four years of volleyball, two years of softball, and three years of cheerleading. Peyton made the ‘A’ Honor Roll, competed in UIL for three years, Academic All-District, and was inducted into the National Honor Society. Peyton plans to attend Texas Tech to earn a degree in real estate and plans to own her own real estate company one day

Varsity Lady Cub Volleyball Player Senior Cate Rodriguez [C] was escorted by father Gunter [L] and mother Shannon [R] during the Senior Night festivities after the volleyball game with Windthorst. Accolades include two years of basketball, four years of volleyball, four years of softball, three years of golf, and one year of track. Cate made the A/B Honor Roll, was in the journalism department, and competed in the UIL. Cate plans to attend Texas Tech to become a labor and delivery nurse
