Olney in America brings community together

The Olney Chamber of Commerce [OCC] board and volunteers worked tirelessly to make another Fourth of July a big success with their annual Olney in America celebration at the Olney Country Club on June 28.

Songbird Jones and Jarrod Morris played before a huge crowd with original and cover music mixed with country and 80’s themed music.

Air Tractor was the title sponsor of the concert and Tower Extrusions sponsored the fireworks display, joining many other community businesses and families sponsorships for the event.

Those celebrating the Fourth with the community could enjoy food and merchandise vendors. Some food trucks in attendance were: Ken’s Chicken and Fish, Razzle’s Italian Ice, Coats Fluffed Candy, Antojitos, Funnel Cake-Corny Dog Curly Fry and Turkey Legs and the Lemonade Stand.

Merchandise vendors included M. Company Custom Jewelry by Marlee Lane, Young County Senior Cub Center, Olney Legion Post 414 selling raffle tickets for a chance to win a kayak and fishing gear, Olney Junior High Cheerleaders fundraiser and Olney High School Varsity Cheerleaders fundraiser and face painting.

People from Olney and the surrounding areas enjoyed a night of great music, great food, great conversation and great memories.

The evening ended with bright lights and big bangs with the annual Olney in America fireworks extravaganza.
