
OJH Takes 23 to State TMSCA Contest
Olney Junior High hosted their annual TMSCA state qualifying Math & Science meet on Saturday, March 1, 2025.
Over 200 students visited OJH to test their skills in Number Sense, Calculator Applications, Mathematics and Science in hopes of earning a state championship qualifying score. OJH added nine names to the list of students who have qualified for the state meet on March 29th.
OJH brought home second place sweepstakes behind a tough 5A team. Team honors include 2nd place Number Sense, 2nd place Mathematics and 2nd place Science and third place team in Calculator Applications.
Individuals finishing in the top ten include: Number Sense - Second Place Team 7th Grade: 1st-Zeph Tejada, 8th-Trent Berngen 6th Grade: 4th-Jackson Dinwiddie, 9th-Denalee Wales Calculator Applications Third Place Team 7th Grade: 1st-Zeph Tejada, 7th-Jaxon Bedford Mathematics - First Place Team 8th Grade: 6th-Odin Savard 7th Grade: 3rd-Zeph Tejada, 7th-Trent Berngen, 8th-Zayden Adkins 6th Grade: 3rd-Denalee Wales
Science - First Place Team 8th Grade: 4th-Abram Dinwiddie, 6th-Odin Savard 7th Grade: 3rd-Kate Santibanez, 5th-Laney Kimbro, 7th-Trent Berngen, 9th-Zeph Tejada 6th Grade: 6th-Jackson Dinwiddie, 9th-Denalee Wales Students earning State qualifying scores include Abram Dinwiddie, Pedro Gonzalez, Grace Jeske, Odin Savard, Harris Sullivan, Wesley Symank, Zayden Adkins, Jaxon Bedford, Trent Berngen, Miles Branum, Emerald Edgington, Laney Kimbro, Kate Santibanez, Clara Symank, Zeph Tejada, Jackson Dinwiddie, Christopher McElroy, Isabella Rodriguez, Araujo, Wyatt Stephens, and Denalee Wales.
