OJH End-ofyear trips

For the first time in several years, Olney Junior High School is scheduling end-of-year trips during the last week of school.

Principal Ed Berngen announced that each grade will go to different places. Eighth grade will visit the Holocaust and Human Rights Museum in Dallas. Seventh grade will experience Frontier Texas, an interactive museum in Abilene, along with a surprise stop. Sixth grade will head to CrashWorks STEAM Studio & Marketplace in Wichita Falls. They too will have a surprise stop.

“It is a great time to start getting students back out into the community and surrounding area. COVID changed our lives and impacted field trips for students across the country,” said Berngen.

In order for a student to go, they must meet the following expectations: The student must be passing all of their classes. The student must not have been placed in DAEP at any point this school year.

The student must not have been in ISS or received corporal punishment from Spring Break to the end of the year.

The student cannot have more than one office referral or have any unexcused absences from Spring Break to the end of the year.
