OHS Track Athletes Move on to Regionals

The Olney High School track team scored wins at the University Interscholastic League’s district and area competitions, and now head to the regional competition in Springtown on April 18-19.

Some highlights of the area contest include: Lady Cubs Bradi Bowers won district champion for 100-meter and 300-meter hurdles, and a bronze medal for the mile relay. At the area competition, she won gold in the 100-meter hurdles, silver in the 300-meter hurdles, and now moves on to the regional contest.

Ana Vasquez won the district silver medal in the 100-meter and 300-meter hurdles, and bronze in the mile relay. Mackenzie Berngen won district gold for the pole vault, bronze in the triple jump and the mile relay.

Halee Craven won the district bronze medal in the 100-meter and 400-meter dash and the mile relay.

Braelyn Casteel won bronze at district for the 800-meter run.

Katy Rosales won fourth at district in long jump, moved on to area and qualified for the regional contest.

Cam McComack qualified for regionals in the pole vault and 110-meter hurdle events.
