OHS cheerleaders chosen for 2023- 2024 year

OHS Boys District Track Meet Results

OHS athletes qualified for the area track meet after top four finishes at District in Petrolia April 6. These Cubs the competed at the area meet Thursday, April 13, at Graham.

In the varsity boys 100m dash, Angel Alvarado placed fourth with a time of 11.63. Jovani Rockmore placed fifth with a time of 11.98. Alvarado advanced to the area meet for this race. Alvarado also competed in the varsity long jump and placed eighth with a measurement of 16-8. In the varsity boys 400m dash, Jose Melchor placed fourth with a time of 58.57 and advanced to the area meet.

In the varsity boys 110m hurdles, Camron McComack placed third with a time of 18.41 and advanced to the area track meet. McComack also placed fifth in the varsity boys 300m hurdles with a time of 45.16.

In the varsity boys high jump, Luis Castillo placed second with a measurement of 5-6 and qualified for the area meet. Christopher Hernandez competed along with Luis Castillo and placed sixth with a measurement of 5-2. Lastly, Ace Cribbs, McComack, and Caden Lane competed in the varsity boys pole vault and all advanced to the area meet. Cribbs placed first with a height of 11-0, McComack second with 10-0, and Lane was third with a 9-6. Mc-Comack also competed in the varsity boys long jump and placed 12th with a measure of 15-4.

In the varsity boys 200m dash, Jose Castillo placed seventh with a time of 25.76. In the 800m run, Noah Enriquez placed sixth with a time of 2:30.91. In the 1600m run Lane placed seventh with a time of 6:07.60, Sawyer Edginton placed eighth with a time of 6:20. 71, and Wacey Canada placed ninth with a time of 6:24.55. Canada also competed in the varsity boys long jump and placed 11th with a measure of 15-6. In 3200m run, Adrian Gonzales placed sixth with a time of 14:07.14 and Edgington placed seventh with a time of 14:11.64. Alvarado placed seventh with a measure of 37-05 in the triple jump while Jacob Hernandez was ninth with 33-01, and Melchor was 10th with a 31-04. In the varsity boys discus, Eli Clayton placed sixth with 95-01 and Ricco Sandoval was in tenth with 8209. Lastly, in shot put, Clayton placed seventh with 38-01, Peyton Valdez placed ninth with 3407, and Sandoval placed 14thwith 29-07 In the varsity boys 4X100 meter relay, Rockmore, Christopher Hernandez, Guy and Alvarado placed fourth. In the varsity boys 4X200 meter relay, Olney placed fifth, and in the varsity boys 4X400 meter relay, Olney placed fifth.
