North Texas Junior Golf Tour

On July 12, the Olney Recreation Association (ORA) hosted the North Texas Junior Golf Tour (NTJGT), based out of Wichita Falls, Texas. Youth from all over North Texas arrived at the ORA, eager to make their mark on the tour.

Brandon McCutcheon, with NTJGT, says the tour has had stops in Jacksboro, Graham and after this stop in Olney the tour will return to Graham next. The NTJGT has a large membership and events are tallied individually but overall standings are added up at the end of the year, and a champion is named for members only. NTJGT does offer individual tournaments as well. The result for the Tour in Olney were: 8 and under coeds 1st place Kameron Betts, 2nd place Christopher McElroy and 3rd place Branson Pitman. 9 to 11 co-eds: 1st Colt Hilley, 2nd Lucas Todd and 3rd Trip Pribble. 12 to 14 boys: 1st Court Gaylor, 2nd Jake Pribble and 3rd Jace Campbell. 15 to 18 boys: 1st Abe Rozell, 2nd Cy Egenbacher and 3rd Jesse Wareham. 15 to 18 girls 1st Emilee Slovak, 2nd Shalynn Belcher and 3rd Ronni Ryon.
