Newcastle Hosts Summer Basketball Camp

The Newcastle ISD gym was full of activity this summer with different sports camps sharpening student athlete’s skills.

Basketball camp this summer was hosted by Mattie Dollar, a local Ladycat basketball legend, soon to be off to her next big adventure in college, and her brother, Lane Dollar. Coach Dollar is studying to become a coach at Abilene Christian University.

Coach Dollar is in his senior year and wanted to give back by hosting a basketball skills camp for Newcastle student athletes.
