Newcastle Celebrates FFA With Banquet

Newcastle High School [NHS] FFA celebrated a year of successes, memories and learning with an end-of-year banquet.

The banquet included a barbecue dinner, a plethora of awards, certificates, lots of photos, memories shared, and tears shed.

Some highlights included NHS FFA Reporter Kourtney Whitfield being elected to the District Team and the Lonestar Degree being earned by Kamalani Duffield.

The Lonestar Degree is the highest degree of membership the State FFA Association can award and has a long list of duties to perform to earn this degree.

NHS FFA Ag teacher Liz Meech received a special gift basket from her students as a farewell. Mrs. Meech is moving on to her next adventure after the school year ends.

Kraig McMillian also received a gift basket and a fond farewell after his 26year teaching career ends. Congratulations to the NHS FFA members for a successful year!
