Munday Moguls on Friday

Friday August 30, the Olney Cubs took the field against the Munday Mugals. Going into the game the Cubs knew that the Mugals Quarter back Cameron Thornton was going to be a major issue. This proved to be true and was the main factor in the loss for the Cubs. With a final score of Cubs 0 and Mugals 52.

The Cubs played with dignity and fought hard but through some missteps the game just got away from them.

Number 7 Gabe Garza took the Quarterback responsibilities for most the game and had a 39-yard run as the evenings highlight. Number 2 Adrian Tellez the Cubs was the star of the defense for the night with 5 tackles. Followed closely by number 8 Luis Marquez with 4 tackles. Number 10 Carter Hinson proved to be very valuable and did a great job fielding 4 returns for punt/kickoffs. Number 5 Brian Hernandez rushed for 42 yards followed closely by number 8 Luis Marquez with 39 yards rushing.

The Cubs will make some necessary adjustments in preparation for Fridays Homecoming game vs Petrolia September 6 at Cub stadium
