Lady Cubs volleyballers playoff run ends

The Olney Lady Cubs volleyball team played against Hamilton at Brock High School in their playoff game Monday, Oct. 30. The game ended with the Lady Cubs losing 3-0. The scores were 25-12, 25-9, and 25-15.

“The girls came out strong and played well in each set. It was one of the best games that the girls played all together,” said Coach Haily Clark. “Even though the outcome was not what we wanted, they played hard and fought throughout the whole game.”

Clark added, “The Hamilton team was a solid team all together. They had great players. The Olney Cubs fought hard and played their best game, and that is all that we could ever ask for.”

Clark stated that the girls worked very hard to improve this season, and that they earned a spot in the playoffs.

“Even though the season ended earlier than we would have liked, the girls have made such an improvement since the beginning of the season,” Clark explained. “I am looking forward to seeing how each of them grow for next year and wish the seniors the best of luck in whatever their next adventures are.”

Clark said she thanked the team “for a great season,” and told them to “keep working hard and success will come.”
