Lady Cubs Varsity Basketball

The Olney Lady Cubs varsity basketball team played the Midway Lady Falcons at the high school gym Friday, Nov. 16. The Lady Cubs left it all on the court and won the day.

The first quarter was a blow-out as the Lady Cubs stored 11 points to the Falcons four points. The second quarter was a close round with the Cubs getting seven points versus the Falcons six points. After halftime, the Lady Cubs clipped the Lady Falcons wings again scoring 11 points against the Falcons 3 points. The last quarter had the Lady Cubs gaining another 8 points while the Lady Falcons received 5. The final score of the game was 37-18.

The breakdown of the Lady Cubs scoring is Jae Montgomery 13, Irune Aguireazaldegui 13, Lexi Allsbrooks 4, Claire Garcia 3, Maddy Green 2 and Abbey Harrison 2. The Lady Cubs now stand at 4-0.
