Lady Cubs Summer Softball Camp

One of the many sports camps taking place this summer by Olney Independent School District [OISD] is the softball summer camp. The camp is hosted by OHS Softball Coach, Mollie Pace and will teach future Lady Cubs softball players the skills it will take to be a successful softball player.

Coach Pace said the summer camp will have two sessions going on, the morning session focuses on age group six to 10. Working on fundamentals and just learning the rules of the game. Then second session is for ages 11 to 14, junior high and incoming freshmen. Who are learning the fundamentals of softball and more detail of what those are being applied to. Coach Pace said” I have defensive stations that are working on glove work and ball handling. We have six hitting stations each day that’s going to focus on putting the bat on the ball, and a few other stations teaching various aspects of the game.” Coach Pace closed by saying, “Our softball program is growing all the way from our 8U team all the way up and I’m really excited about the lady cubs softball future.”
