Lady Cubs Summer League

The Lady Cubs may have had their season cut short this year, but they are making up for lost ground by taking part in the Sunrise Optimist Club’s summer softball league.

The Lady Cubs are off to a slow start but that is not keeping these young ladies from having a fun time on the field. Spirits are high and there have been a few close games so far this season.

The Lady Cubs fell to the WF Heat in a recent game losing 7 to 8, but they kept the game close till the time expired. During pre-season play against the Seymour Lady Panthers, Aubrey Mahler hit an in-field home run. It was an exciting game to watch regardless of it being a pre-season or regular game.

The Lady Cubs play on Wednesday evenings at the Sunrise Optimist Friend of Youth Softball Complex 5401 Southwest Pkwy Wichita Falls, Texas 76310. Upcoming games are on July 1 at 7:30 pm, July 8 at 6:00 pm and July 15 at 7:30 pm. Each night is a double header and the Lady Cubs would love to see their community fill the stands and root them on.
