Lady Cubs Softball

The softball season is underway and looks to be a very competitive year for the Lady Cubs with a combination of returning veterans and fresh talent.

Lady Cubs Softball Coach Mollie Pace said the upcoming season “is looking promising.”

“We have been offensively better than we’ve been in the past and so I’m really excited about that,” Coach Pace said. “I’m really excited to see the Lady Cubs and all their hard work pay off this season.” Coach Pace asks that everyone come out and support the Lady Cubs this season.

The Lady Cubs traveled to Electra to face off against the Lady Tigers on Feb. 21. There were very few errors or missteps in the game and Lady Cubs Pitcher, #4 McKenzie Giffin, had a good game with only two breakout innings with scoring but overall pitched a solid game. The Lady Cubs just had some issues getting their offensive game going because of a really good Lady Tigers pitcher. The Lady Cubs failed to secure the win against the Lady Tigers, 0-8. The Lady Cubs’ first home game will be against the Archer City Lady Cats on March 6 at 5 p.m. followed by the JV Lady Cubs vs. the Seymour Lady Panthers. Fight on Lady Cubs!!!
