Lady Cubs qualify for regional track meet

Two Lady Cubs qualified for the Regional track meet with top performances at the UIL Area track meet in Graham on April 13. Abby Guerra and Jaylee Bowers each qualified in their events.

Bowers was second in the 300-meter hurdles with a qualifying time of 48.38, and she also placed second in 100-meter hurdles with a time of 16.34. Guerra placed first in high jump with a height of 5-00.00. Both athletes will compete in these events at the regional meet in Springtown on April 28-29.

Also at the area meet, the 4x400 relay team, Brady Bowers, Guerra, Katelynn Bailey, and Jaylee Bowers, got 7th. In the 300-hurdles Brady Bowers got 6th. Onto the field events, Aney Alvarez took eighth place in shot out and,l Taylor Lawrence placed sixth in pole vault.
