Lady Cubs eclipse the Stars

Tuesday Dec.3, the Lady Cubs hosted Wichita Christian School Stars and what proved to be a dominate performance for the Lady Cubs that night.

Final score had the Lady Cubs 39 to the Stars 7 for a victory by the Lady Cubs. Head Coach Kourtney Holyfield of the Lady Cubs had this to say, “The girls did an awesome job on defense. They communicated better than they have all year. They were able to force the other team to at least 25 turnovers as well as implement new defenses and execute those well. Marisol Lozano was able to draw fouls and go to the free throw line five times as well as make a 3-pointer! We are excited about the Graford Tournament and the opportunity to get better there before district starts in just two weeks.”

Abby Guerra #15 and Marisol Lozano #23 both played a key roll in the win over the Stars. Both played aggressively and with a ton of heart. With the support of the rest of the Lady Cubs, they showed that true fighting Cub spirit. Fight on Lady Cubs!
