Lady Cubs Defeat Lady Pirates

The Lady Cubs played the Petrolia Pirates Tuesday, Jan. 8, in the high school gym. The Lady Cubs defeated the Lady Pirates 50-4.

The Lady Cubs scored 20 points against Petrolia’s 2 points in the first quarter. They made 12 points against 2-points for the Lady Pirates in the second quarter. During the third quarter, the Lady Cubs scored 10 points while the Lady Pirates were unable to score. The fourth quarter had the Lady Cubs gaining another 8 points as the Lady Pirates gained no points.

The Lady Cubs scoring breakdown was: Claire Garcia 18 points, Jaden Jacoba 15 points, Jae Montgomery 5 points, Abbey Harrison 4 points, Irune Aguirreazaldegui 4 points, Maddy Green 2 points and Lexi Allsbrooks 2 points.
