Lady Cubs battled hard against the Lady Tigers

Tuesday, Nov. 19, the Lady Cubs hosted the Jacksboro Lady Tigers. The Lady Cubs fell to the Tigers with a score of Lady Cubs 16-Lady Tigers-57.

The Lady Cubs faced a team much stronger and put up a defensive battle to keep the Lady Tigers from running up the score higher than it was.

Coach Kourtney Holyfield of the Lady Cubs, had this to say of the game “We knew Jacksboro would be a very difficult team for us. We are in a tough preseason schedule in order to prepare our girls for district play. We were impressed by their defensive efforts against girls that were bigger and stronger and how they played as a team! We’re looking forward to the Polk Key City tournament and facing more tough teams and becoming better at what we need to do in order to succeed!”

Maddy Green had 8 points and was the leading scorer for the Lady Cubs. It took a team effort to battle these Lady Tigers and the Cub pride was present that evening to support Our Lady Cubs.
