Hawley Tops Cubs At OHS Pink Out Night

The Olney Cubs faced a tough challenge Friday night in their annual Pink Out game, falling to the Hawley Bearcats 6-53.

The Bearcats’ offense built a commanding lead in the first quarter that the Cubs were unable to overcome. Despite Olney’s effort to slow the pace, Hawley controlled the game on both sides of the ball. The Cubs put six points on the board, but opportunities for a rally were limited against the Bearcats’ fast-paced attack. No official stats were available at press time The matchup coincided with the annual Pink Out, hosted by the OHS Cheerleaders to raise awareness for breast cancer. Players donned pink gear in support in a message of community spirit amid a tough night on the field.
