Parents and family escorted their Senior Cub player to the mound for some recognition and photos then the game began with a fiery, explosive start by Cubs pitcher Jordan Jacoba -- strikes out two and an infield fly catch quickly finished the Panthers’ inning.
The Cubs came to bat with a three-run homer by Mr. Jacoba, Cameron McCormack and Cye Dixon being the other two Cubs with runs on Jacoba’s home run.
The Cubs went on to beat the Panthers, 16-10, to capture second place in District.
