Cubs, Bobcats Start Season With ‘Two-A-Days’

The Olney Cubs and Newcastle Bobcats football team began the season with a tradition that any football player from Texas knows well: the infamous crucible is known as two-a-days.

This refers to brutal work outs under the roasting heat of the Texas sun twice a day.

It’s a right of passage that all Texas football players must pass to even have a chance to play as a starter or back up player under the Friday Night Lights in Texas.

For those that endure and make it out the other side of this crucible they will enter a brotherhood that creates fond memories and friendships to last a lifetime.
