Young County has received more than $45 thousand in grants during the past six years to go toward rifle, shotgun and archery equipment.
The children will register online with the Texas 4H, then practice with their local 4H coaches to later compete in the vrious events throughout the year with a large Texas shoot in July. One of the bigger competitions will be the Archery Roundup on June 10. The roundup is a qualifying and invitational event for 4H youth who placed in a district level.
