Will B. A Yankee Doodle Dandy

Will B. A Yankee Doodle Dandy

With the Fourth of July recently passed, it’s time for my yearly patriotic Will B. Not sure what a Yankee Doodle Dandy is exactly but it is in a patriotic song and a few poems. I will have to get with Jim Hammond over at Fort Belknap later to find out. He is very knowledgeable on American history.

When it comes to these United States of America, I am as patriotic as they come. I believe in freedom of speech, even though I may not agree with you, I will always respect your right to this freedom. I believe in the 2nd amendment and will practice this right even at the detriment of our bank account. With all that is going on recently, when it comes to protecting my property, wife and even my dogs, I will do so even at the risk of going to jail. When it comes to protecting our country and freedoms, I will also do so even at the risk of death. Freedom is not free it has a very high cost.

The United States of America (USA) has a long bloody past when it comes to protecting our freedoms and those around the globe. It is a job that must be done, and the USA has always stepped up proudly to protect freedom and those who are oppressed by tyrannical and oppressive regimes. It has cost us our fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters and friends. It has cost us dearly, but this is a fight that is worth fighting for.

I am pretty passionate about a lot of things to do with manners, common courtesy and doing what is right, just to name a few. I believe no one should be judged for the sins of their fathers as the saying goes. Some may feel differently but that is their right to think and believe as they see fit. I was born in 1968, well past the time when there were slave owners and slaves. Well past the time when women where not able to vote and treated as second class citizens. Well past when the Indians had their land stolen and were killed in droves. I believe you get the point. Being a white male in this day and age has gotten to be a dirty word. If I have done something wrong or broken the law, I will own up to my misdoings. Do not judge me for the sins of my father or for the color of my skin. Racism goes both ways and I would never judge someone or be biased towards someone because of the color of their skin. We are all Americans; we all bleed red and are all humans. Some people have just forgotten this.

This is Will B saying there is no law saying you have to live where you are born. If you don’t like it in the USA you are free to leave it or change it.
