Will B. Trusting
I was going to my daily Bible study today and got pretty excited. This week, my devotionals are on trusting God and trust in general. I have been trusting God for some time and like all things that happen on a regular basis, I put it on cruise control and stopped thinking about it. I got used to God handling my problems or showing me how to solve them.
What I read today and thought about got me excited because it reminded me how awesome it is to have a God that is always there for me on a daily level. The lesson said a simple comment that hit home. The lesson said, isn’t it exciting waiting to see how God will solve our problems? As long as we trust in God, of course. God wants us to have faith in him that once we pray about something he will solve the issue, sometimes how we think he will, and sometimes it’s a mystery we are supposed to understand or can not understand, but God will always intervene on behalf of his faithful servants.
It had been a while since I even thought about how God was going to solve one of the problems that I had brought to him in prayer, much less got excited thinking about how he would intervene. So I found myself thinking back at all the many times God has stepped in and solved issues I prayed to him about and I got so excited for the future things God would do in my life, not just solving problems, but putting me in the path of others who may need something that God sees in me to provide, a smile, a word of encouragement, a scripture, an act of faith, it could be anything to anybody on any given day that could change the path of someone and we may not even know that we did it. God knows and he has a perfect plan for all of his children if we let him, if we have faith in him and are obedient to his will, even if we can’t understand the situation.
Proverbs 3:5 – “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.” Trust is not always easy but once you fully give your trust to God you will find a peace and freedom you have never come close to enjoying.
