Will B. Thinking About The Price of Freedom

I am a very patriotic person and very much enjoy being a citizen of the country that provides freedom to the world. I swell with pride knowing that we have generations of Americans who shed blood, sweat and tears to not only make sure our country is a land of the free but also for a great many people and countries around this little blue planet we call home.

The sacrifice is also the burden of the families who sacrifice time with loved ones who serve. The families often sacrifice years of wonderful memories they could have made while their loved ones are off putting their life on the line for the free-loving people of America and its allies. Sometimes, even often the families sacrifice a lifetime of shared memories when they that serve give the ultimate sacrifice for freedom, which is their life. This is a very high price to pay but one that most would gladly sacrifice to keep a Hitler, Mussolini, Hussein, Gaddafi or a Kim Jong Il from staying in power. Imagine if America didn’t step in to stop Hitler or Japan what would the world be like. Look how many millions Hitler alone is responsible for killing, not even bringing into consideration the suffering of those that didn’t die.

These are just few of the famous evil villains that plagued the Earth and threatened our freedom. There are many untold up-in-coming leaders who have been removed by America. Who knows what travesties they would have enacted?

I may have a bit of radical thinking in my nature, but I believe America needs to tax the countries of the world for our sacrifices. Why should the most powerful military nation on Earth who puts it upon ourselves to defend freedom with our blood not be the richest nation on Earth?

I also believe America needs to get back to being the country known for manufacturing and building things. We used to be this nation as well before corporate greed and coward politicians sent all of our manufacturing companies over seas all in the name of the dollar.

When Trump first ran for office, I did not vote for him. I thought this guy was a blustering fool who will embarrass this country and drive the country further into the ground if we allow him to be president. I have never been more wrong about anything in my life. Not about him embarrassing the country with his shenanigans, that he does almost daily. But he has by far been one of the best presidents this country has seen since its birth. That is where I admit to my mistake of not voting for him the first time around. I assure you he has gotten my vote already cast and secured for this election.

The high cost of freedom should and will always be answered by the men and woman of the greatest country on Earth because it’s in Americas DNA and always will be. I humbly thank all that serve and have served and thank you for my freedom.

This is Will B. saying sleep tight world, America’s got your back. You’re welcome.
