For me and maybe sometimes for others, controlling a situation or problem in our lives creates less stress and a little peace of mind.
Sometimes problems in our lives need to be taken out of our hands and put into the only one strong enough to solve certain problems, and that is God.
This takes letting go of the entire situation, praying to God to take control of the situation and having faith that God is in control and will solve the issue you are praying about, so letting go of the problem to God and letting God handle the problem.
God will answer all your prayers; it may not be the answer you wanted but it will be the answer you needed most times. God works on his time as well and your prayer may not be answered right away. God has perfect timing, perfect insight and the perfect answer to all our problems as well as things in our lives that are not problems.
Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV) says: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus”.
When we go to God in prayer, we are to leave the entire prayer request with him. That includes the worrying. Have faith God will solve your prayer requests and you do not need to worry.
Faith is a big part of prayer requests, at least for me. I found many years ago how much peace can be had in having faith and trusting God with my prayers and leaving the worrying out of it after prayer.
Why would I worry about something I gave to God to solve in prayer? He created all things: heavens, Earth, the Universe, us and, well, every little thing in creation. Can he not solve our problems?
God is good and he wants good things for us. Sometimes it takes work, but trust that God loves each of us and will always be there even when we don’t know it, working his perfect will and plan in each of our lives.
Take some peace in that.
