Visiting with Rona

Visiting with Rona

Well, I am currently in the midst of the infamous COVID-19. I, and others, like to call it “Rona.” Not sure where I was exposed. I cover a few events each week, and I could have been exposed from any number of places or people.

I felt worse each day, with the 4th day by far feeling the worse. To me, it just seems like a bad case of the flu. I am in the at-risk group having type 2 diabetes, an auto immune disease (Ankylosing Spondylitis) and on an immune suppressor medicine, Cimzia. So, although I have not been worried about catching Rona, I am taking recovering from it very seriously. My doctor promptly recommended Monoclonal Antibodies infusion for treatment of the Rona. I was told by a few that after receiving the infusion they felt better within a couple days. So, I decided to give it a go and received my infusion the next day. I was told some had side effects that resembled the flu. I had no side effects and started feeling better that day.

Having received my ticket to the big show finally, I have to say it is overrated. It is very similar to having the flu, but not quite as bad. I had more of a problem with my back hurting from all the laying around and extra bedrest. I still firmly believe that mask wearing is a big ruse. They say, for example, that we have to wear a mask into a restaurant but it’s ok to take the mask off once at the table to eat? It’s ok to pack a political rally, but yet it is not safe to pack a movie theatre? I have heard numerous stories of how people took all precautions and yet still caught the Rona. I am not advising you to not wear a mask or to wear a mask, but sometimes common sense makes more sense than what the government tells us.

I will continue to put my trust in God and trust his plan. Maybe we need to put our trust in God and not the government more in day-to-day life. This is Will B. saying, see ya in a couple weeks when quarantine is over.
