Summer reading program at OCLAC

During June and July, the Children’s Library of the Olney Community Library and Arts Center provided an opportunity for young readers to keep track of their reading during the summer months. The theme for the summer of 2021 was: Tails & Tales! They could enjoy books on these topics or read other books from the library, home, online books or other libraries! So reading is an important part of continuing education that a contest of who could read the most books was part of the program.

There were two categories: Picture Books or Chapter Books. The reader chose their category and kept track of them in the Tails & Tales Reading Log. Following is the list of participants.

Zachary Baran, Brayson Betts, Kameron Betts, Matthew Bullock, Heagan Calhoun, Aliyah DeLeon, Emmit Dobbs, Jordyn Esquivel, Denis Geter, Lucas Geter, Trey(-Billy) Geter, Jace Haralson, Samuel Hendrickson, William Hendrickson, Weston Hickam, Caroline Jeske, Grace Jeske, Laney Kimbro, Keela King, Rocket Laurent, Brielle Morales, Savannah Morales, Matthew Nichols, Mason Nichols, Payten Oliver, Bennet Powers, Brinkleigh Powers, Ella Richards, Vincent Smith, West Stephens, Wyatt Stephens, Harris Sullivan, Carleigh Symank, Clara Symank, Gretchen Symank, Cooper Tate, Zeph Tejada, Christian Widner, Bailey Wise.
