What to wear, what to wear. Vacillating temps make clothing choices more complicated. Dressing for a cold morning might spell disaster when afternoon temperatures reach the 80s. If we don’t change several times a day into more comfortable “duds,” we will be forced to suffer..., unless we use our brains and use the layering approach. Then we can peel off a layer at a time to achieve our desired temperature state. Make like an onion and layer up.

Have you ever seen a traveling bird feeder? They exist, because I personally saw one last week. No, it wasn’t at some exhibition or show; it was right here in Olney, Texas! The corners of my lips turned upward and I emitted an amused chuckle when I spied the device. Birds were busily hopping around and munching to their hearts’ content, oblivious to surrounding activity or sounds. There it sat, at least temporarily, in Stewart’s parking lot. The truck bed had five sacks of deer corn stacked haphazardly in the back and at least one of them had suffered a tear. The spillage thrilled the chipper little birds who vied for bits and pieces of their golden fare. Happy trails and travels to that red truck as it brings happiness not only to the deer population, but to our feathered friends as well.

The “Angels” came to call our bingo game last week. They were a very pleasant and fun duo from the home healthcare agency that often visits to do blood pressure checks and provide pertinent information for us “seniors.” They bring great prizes in abundance and make sure everyone wins at least once. We look forward to seeing those smiling faces from our own band of special angels. Thanks gals for bringing us joy!

Oh, dear! Easter is already a few days away. Hope your baskets are brimming with colorful eggs and prizes galore! What a delightful time for our youngsters as they scamper about snatching up those treasured eggs and treats. Many will be dressed in Easter finery while others don their casual wear to hunt for those elusive prize eggs. Such happy memories made with family and friends, or friends-to-be!
