Police Beat 7/28

Summer is on us with full force.  The heat is making it tough on all of us.  We all were praying for rain and we have been blessed with abundance.  Please realize it in still dry and we can have a fire in no time.  I want to encourage you on a few things concerning summer activity in our great city.

First, pay close attention to sparks and family grill outs.  A fire can cause massive destruction with the dry conditions. Second, watch out for children on bikes.  They will be traveling through our residential streets and quickly appear from nowhere it seems.  Just keep an extra eye out for them.  Third, summer time brings more people out walking at night.  Some are taking a leisure stroll, so be careful as you see them walking.  Slow down a bit.  Move over a bit.  Roll down your windows and listen.

Unfortunately some may be checking house to house for an opportunity to steal things. Keep a close eye out for suspicious activity.  Your Police Department is here to serve you in any way we can.  We need your eyes and ears to help us locate criminal activity.  Don’t hesitate to report it.  We are keeping a high visibility of Police presence.  Let us know when you know of something that appears out of the ordinary.  Your Police Department cares about you and wants to serve and protect you to the best of our ability.  Have a safe and blessed summer.
