OHH Auxilliary thanks community for successful fundraiser

The Olney Hamilton Hospital Auxiliary held its annual hamburger fundraiser Wednesday, fundraiser Wednesday, June 9 at the Olney High School cafeteria.

The community came out in large numbers filling the room to support the auxiliary efforts many stating they had a jubilant experience and the food was exceptional. Bernhardt and Braddock from First United Methodist Church are always selected to grill the hamburgers due to stheir second-to-none grill skills.

Auxiliary president Phyllis Whitsitt said the meal and vake sale was successful with more than 100 people who carried out meals and more than 75 p[eople who ate their meal at the cafeteria.

“We are very thankful to all who came and for the generous donations. We want to extend a big thankyou to to all the Auxiliary volunteers that worked so hard, came early and stayed late to have this meal. Jason and the crew at Stewart’s Food Store deserve a big ‘tahnk-you, too,” Whitsitt.

Whitsitt said the Auxiliary will use the money raised to purchase items that the hospital needs. CEO Mike Huff provides a list of needs to the Auxiliary for assistance, and Whitsitt said they try to meet those needs every year.
