100 Years Ago – July 30, 1920
Frank and Calvin Jones, from Coleman, this week bought the New Queen Theatre from W.W. Benson and have taken charge of same. You will notice that elsewhere in this issue we publish a nice ad for them giving their program for next week. They say that they believe in keeping the people informed about their show thru advertising in the paper, and that they will publish their programs each week. One of them has gone to Dallas this week to buy a better lighting outfit so they can improve their pictures. The Enterprise hopes they run a good show and get a good business.
75 Years Ago – August 3, 1945
Pfc. J.M. Voyle Is Back in Olney After Three Years On his first visit home since entering the Marine Corps, three years ago, Pfc. J.M. Voyle, son of Mr. and Mrs. M.T. Voyle, came Monday night for a thirty-day leave. Pfc. Voyle received boot training in San Diego, Calif., and has been overseas 32 months.
50 Years Ago – July 30, 1970
1940 OHS Class Plans Reunion
The 1940 Class of Olney High School will celebrate their 30th anniversary with a reunion on August 1, 1970. Class members and their wives and husbands will gather for a dinner meeting in the banquet room of the No-D-Lay at 7:30 p.m. Featured speaker for the occasion will be Dr. James L. (Cotton) Robbins from Plainview, Texas. David Hays will be master-of-ceremonies. Dennis Herring, Bill Wood and Doris Hamilton are serving as arrangements committee for the reunion.

Kulhanek Stationed In Maryland
PFC Jeremy Ross Kulhanek graduated Army basic training July 20 in Fort Sill, Okla., and is stationed AIT at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Md., for 10 weeks. His MOS is power generators. Kulhanek is a 1994 graduate of Megargel High School, is married to Anja Pribble Kulhanek and is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Vick Kulhanek of Megargel.
