“God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7

God identifies with us, as is His people. Many times, people want the benefits of the blessings of God, but do not want to serve Him or live for Him.

Today’s world is in chaos and fear because of the Coronavirus pandemic that seems to send a message that God is not in control. God is the giver of our life, our health and our strength. The Spirit of his Word is what we trust in.

Fear is the opposite of faith. God encourages His people to fear not because He Has redeemed us and has called us by His name. We walk by faith and not by sight.

The power that is given is what we live by. Power is the strength to stand on what you believe, which is God’s Word. The so love of God should reassure us that whatever situations, circumstances, trials or tribulations, we can be reassured of God’s promised Word that will not return void. Our void is when we fail to walk in His Word.

If you are not reassured in God’s Word to be able to walk in it or to live in it, the soundness of your mind will be de terred by what you take in. What you entertain in your mind may cause you to forget about what God has promised.

What God gives is good. So, are you walking in God’s goodness? And it is not good until it comes off the pages and is reality in your life.
