A Desperate Need

“There IS NONE RIGHTEOUS, NOT EVEN ONE;” Romans 3:10 NASB

Dear Reader, today if you have not received the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, but rather rejected Him, then I beg God to awaken you from your slumber. I know that eternity is birthed in your heart, for there is not one soul born of a woman who has never thought about the day when they shall draw their last breath. The truth of God, which lies between the pages of Holy Scripture, must not be discarded in your mind at this point. The word of God has been preached for thousands of years and has drawn millions of people to turn from their sins and to turn to Jesus for forgiveness. You see, the Bible tells us that God created the heavens and the earth and everything that is in it. It also explains to us that God created man in His own image, but man sought to be God himself and the whole of humanity fell into sin. Because of this, my friend, there is no hope for anyone, for the disease of sin has affected everyone from the time of their conception. This is explained in the book of Romans, “Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinned.” It also explains the effects sin had on humanity, “None is righteous, no, not one; no one understands; no one seeks for God. All have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one. “ “Their throat is an open grave; they use their tongues to deceive. “ “The venom of asps is under their lips.” “Their mouth is full of curses and bitterness.” “Their feet are swift to shed blood; in their paths are ruin and misery, and the way of peace they have not known.” “There is no fear of God before their eyes.” This is a vivid description given by the Bible that describes everyone, including you and me. One might say, “this does not describe me.” But I say, “Have you ever thought of anything that you are ashamed of? Have you enjoyed any type of entertainment surrounded by violence, murder, filthy language, adultery, homosexuality, or any other sin that condemns man under the perfect standard of God’s law.” Then I say, “it does describe you.” So the Bible is very clear at this point concerning all mankind, that is, they are under judgment and will one day be sentenced to hell. But the word of God does not leave us there, for what man cannot do for himself, God did. The scriptures tell us, “God sent His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh, so that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us,” that is, those who are trusting in Jesus Christ for the salvation of their souls. My friend, it is written, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only-begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.” May God give you the strength to come to Jesus today, lest you perish on the day of your death.
