Dealing with the Measles

The following article pertains to the measles pathogen. Furthermore, this article should not be construed as medical advice and should not be treated as such. Please consult a medical professional if you have any questions about this or any other infection.

We are still dealing with the effects of the Covid-19 virus and in some cases the reaction to it.

Every four years or so, there is a new virus that pops onto the scene and the media runs with it. While no virus should be taken lightly and there is no reason to believe that this pattern is indicative of a shadow organization that is trying to control the population, it is interesting.

SARS in 2004, bird flu in 2008, MERS in 2012, the Zika virus in 2016, and Covid-19 in 2020.

Synchronicity is the idea of ascribing patterns to merely coincidental things.

At the same time, we need to not lose our heads and remember to not let statistics control us.

According to Statista, the number of measles- related deaths was one in a thousand in 1977, before dropping to virtually zero the next year. This trend continued except for a brief spike from 1988-1992 in which it spiked to three in a thousand.

All of which are hundreds of times more deadly, at least according to the World Health Organization (WHO) and the International Labor Organization (ILO).

In 1969, The Brady Bunch aired an episode called “Is There a Doctor in the House?” in which all six kids came down with measles. While the episode is played for laughs, measles can be serious for some people.

Some things that you can do for your health include getting clean air as well as exercise and sunshine. A healthy diet of vegetables and plenty of fluids, as well as rest, are invaluable.

Most diseases tend to affect the immunocompromised and those who do not take care of their health. The first group needs to stay strong to build up herd immunity for the rest of the population. A concept that was very popular until 2020 when people were locked in their homes.

Also, be aware that any drug can have side effects, but not every company can be prosecuted if the medicine causes a reaction.

Should children be exposed to measles or get the MMR vaccine? I am not a doctor and I do not give medical advice here. I just want to ensure that the people of our community have all of the facts. Be sure to weigh the costs and the benefits to protect The Temple of The Holy Spirit that is your body.
