Chuck’s Kwik Change Offers More Than Just Oil Changes
Chuck and Brenda Stennett are partners in business and life. With a 32-year marriage and a successful business, the sky is the limit. They credit their success to hard work and good communication. Most days, you will find both at Chuck’s Kwik Change—with Mr. Stennett in the pit and Mrs. Stennett in the books.
“I worked at the Kwik Change for seven years, and when there was an opportunity to buy the business from Derrell Marion, I did in 2011,” Mr. Stennett said. “The business has been good. Besides Olney, we get people from Throckmorton, Newcastle and Graham.”
The Stennett’s said they are grateful to their customers for supporting their business as they also support the local businesses. They also value the relationships they’ve built with many of their customers.
“We truly appreciate our customers. We closed when Chuck was sick, and people called in to check on him. Since we have opened back up, several people have come by just to see how we’re doing,” Mrs. Stennett said.
In the wake of the COVID-19 crisis--like many of Olney’s businesses--the Stennetts experienced the pandemic’s adverse impact.
“We were affected by the lockdown that occurred at the end of March for five weeks. We are back on track for now,” Mrs. Stennett said, although uncertain about the resurgence of Coronavirus.
In addition to providing oil changes and lube work, Chuck’s Kwik Change offers vehicle inspections. They go the extra mile by checking all your fluids when they change your oil.
Mr. Stennett was born to James and Glenna Stennett and was raised in Olney. He is also a member of the Olney City Council. Brenda was raised in Megargel. In her spare time, she is the official bookkeeper for the Cub’s High School basketball games and works the elections. They have two daughters, Codi, who resides in Houston with her 12-year-old daughter, Charleigh, and Cori, who is currently working in Alaska.
