
Black History Month
This week, we’re honoring a local legend for Black History Month. His athletic ability brought recognition statewide recognition and opened the door for his matriculation at Tarleton State University.
“Willie Stafford, a 1970 graduate of OHS, played little league baseball, stared in track and excelled in football while in Olney.
Stafford was named to the 2-AA football All-Dis
He was recruited by Tarleton State University where he was recognized as the UPI All-College tackle for his athletic contribution in football during his four years,” said Dale Lovett, OHS graduate and OHS Alumni Record-keeper extraordinaire.
