Wanda Ickert, age 86, died Friday, July 1, 2016 at Grace Care Center in Olney, Texas. Funeral services was held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 2, 2016, at the Hamilton Street Church of Christ in Olney, Texas with Scotte Clark, minister, officiating, assisted by Ed Jones, of Lubbock, Texas. Interment will follow in Restland Cemetery in Olney. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney, Texas.

Wanda was born on August 27, 1929 in Bryson, Texas to the late John and Lela (Porter) Estes. She moved to Olney in 1942 from Graford, Texas. She married A. F. Ickert on July 15, 1950 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Wanda had worked as a medical insurance clerk and a supervisor at Haggar Slacks, but mostly enjoyed being a housewife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of the Hamilton Street Church of Christ and loved her church dearly. She enjoyed fishing, painting, traveling, and telling all whom she encountered in life about her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, husband A. F. Ickert on May 10, 1999, and by one brother, Leroy Estes.

Survivors include one son, Donald “Shorty” Ickert and wife Lana of Olney; two daughters: Donna Mullins of Olney and Rhonda Hamilton and husband Wayne of Olney; seven grandchildren: Misti Ondricek and husband Kirk of Olney, Adrian Mullins and wife Jilian of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Jason Ickert and wife Amy of Corinth, Texas, Leslie Fuksa and husband Scott of Norman, Oklahoma, Mathew Ickert of Olney, Leroy Mullins of Olney, Amy Johnson and husband Jeromy of Olney; and eleven great-grandchildren.

The family will received friends at 1334 Highland Drive in Olney after the service.
