Robert L. Vincent, Jr. age 70 of Kempner passed away at his home on Thursday, August 18, 2016.

Memorial services with full military honors, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 26, 2016 at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen. The family will be meeting at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service at Scott’s Funeral Home of Copperas Cove to be led in procession to the cemetery, by the Patriot Guard.

He was born on August 7, 1946 in Olney, Texas.  He was a Vietnam veteran that served in the U.S. Army for 23 years.  He was elected as Lampasas County Commissioner, Pct. 1, in 1988, serving for 28 years at the time of his death.

He was preceded in death by his son, Robert Lee Vincent, III; father, Robert Lee Vincent, Sr. and his sister, Patty June Blanco.

Robert is survived by his mother, Violet Vincent; his wife of 40 years, Grace A. Vincent; daughter-in-law, Yanira LoCoco; son, Charles Vincent and wife, Ashlynn; and three granddaughters, Autumn, Sierra and Katie Vincent.

In lieu of flowers, Robert requested memorials be made to the individual's favorite cancer foundation or the Wounded Warriors Foundation.
