Randall Weems

Randall W. Weems, age 68, passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2019. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 3, 2019 in the Newcastle School Auditorium, with his brother-in-law, Thom Clark, officiating.

Randall was born September 10, 1950 in Olney, Texas to the late Cator Weems and Violet (Crista) Weems. He graduated from Newcastle High School in the Class of 1969, and was looking forward to his 50 year class reunion. He was a Zoo Keeper and was retired from the Fort Worth Zoo. He most recently worked for Robert Stewart at Mesquite Creek Outfitters, tending to cattle, his beloved Buffalo and guiding hunters. His love of birds and animals was evident throughout his life as he was known as an avid outdoorsman and conservationist. He loved being outside, especially hunting and fishing and taking care of animals. He married Lora Clark on August 29, 1992 at Ft. Belknap. Randall was the grumpiest ray of sunshine on the planet! He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.

Randall is survived by his wife, Lora Weems of Olney; two daughters: Carolyn Black-Coffey and husband Roy Coffey of New Braunfels, Texas and Athene Reyes and husband Thomas Reyes of Azle, Texas; one granddaughter, Amber Rose Benton of Denton, Texas; several nieces, nephews and cousins; four sisters-in-law: Joyce Kulhanek and husband Victor of Megargel, Texas, Carol Harding and husband Brian of Bedford, Texas, Carolyn Morley and husband David of Bryan, Texas and Patti Clark of New Braunfels, Texas; four brothers-in-law: Tim Rose and wife Shirley of Texas, Steve Rose and wife Sandra of Texas, Chuck Calvin and wife Barbara of Olney and Thom Clark and wife Tracy of Rhome, Texas; and his ex-wife, Mollie Rose of Grand Prairie, Texas. He considered his nephew, Don Pint to be his son.
